For Consumers

How do I create an account?

Click the Sign Up button, enter your email address, create a password, and verify your account to get started.

How do I write a review?

Search for the business you'd like to review, open its profile page, and click "Write a Review." Share your experience honestly and rate the business.

Can I edit my review?

Yes. Log in to your account, navigate to your profile, and select the review you'd like to update.

Can I delete my review?

Yes. You may remove your review at any time through your account dashboard.

Why was my review removed?

Reviews may be removed if they violate our Community Guidelines, contain prohibited content, or are determined to be fraudulent or misleading.

How do I report a review?

Click the "Report Review" button located next to the review and provide details about the issue.


For Businesses

How do I claim my business profile?

Search for your business on HonestMeter and click "Claim Business Profile." Follow the verification process to confirm ownership.

Can I respond to customer reviews?

Yes. Verified business owners can publicly respond to reviews and engage with customers.

Can I remove negative reviews?

No. HonestMeter does not remove reviews simply because they are negative. Reviews are only removed if they violate our policies.

How do I update business information?

After claiming your profile, you can update business details through your business dashboard.

Why is my business listed on HonestMeter?

Business profiles may be created using publicly available business information to help consumers discover and review businesses.

Can my business profile be removed?

Business profiles are generally not removed upon request. Removal may be considered if a profile is a duplicate, created in error, or the business has permanently ceased operations.

How does HonestMeter fight fake reviews?

We use automated detection systems, moderation tools, user reports, and manual reviews to identify suspicious activity and maintain platform integrity.

What content is prohibited?

The following content is not allowed:

What happens if someone violates the guidelines?

Accounts may receive warnings, content removals, temporary restrictions, or permanent suspension depending on the severity of the violation.
